The book was thick with paper, although small enough to fit into a pocket. Black cover, with the name 'Cassie' in it, it detailed what the female canine saw. Day One: The Herd and, finally, Brenton
When I first stopped at the outskirts in the canyon, I had the distinct feeling I needed to look around. I did, as always, since my instincts had told me to. As I climbed up on a crust of a hill, I saw a beautiful herd of wild horses. I watched them for a long time, and it made me think... I want to be free, like they are.
I swear after I kill that man I will be.
Finally, after a few more minutes, I found it. The little town of Brenton, although I didn't find out it's name for a few minutes. I encountered a group standing infront of the Saloon. A flirty girl, a doctor, and an indian.
After I dropped into the Saloon awhile later, I had a pleasent chat with Doc, and learned about the bandits that had come into town supposibly looking for someone. I saw two others, the indian, and a guy I regognized from a wanted poster awhile back. Didn't concern me, I wasn't much a law-abiding person myself.
Doc ended up getting drunk, and I have to admit it was pretty funny seeing him try to make it to the door.
