Gathero glanced at the farmhouse door when it opened and so did most of the crowd. A small band was at the side playing accompanying music with guitars as the bride came down the aisle. The edges of his lips formed a slight smile although he could feel the nervousness welling up in him again. He would raise an eyebrow on seeing the horse though would give a slight nod to it. As his bride came closer to him, he caught sight of her smile and all his nervousness melted away. The time had come and he was ready. Gathero glanced quickly at the crowd scanning for Caleb, he had hoped the Marshal would be around to wed him and Orlena but it hadn't been so and a judge from a near by town had been called in to marry the couple. The judge was an old mouse who had a large beard and thick glasses set upon his muzzle. In fact it would appear to folks that he was squinting, but he had a kindly face and could tell when the two were ready before he started his speech. [now I'm a gonna cheat and copy and paste stuff for the speech, you know that part ] " Dear friends, we are gathered here today to witness the joining of two lives. This is the marriage celebration of two people who are special to you.
These two separate people have chosen this special time and place to be married to each other. The decision to marry is not entered into lightly, but rather is undertaken with great consideration and respect for both the other person and oneself. You as friends are able to celebrate with Doctor Gathero and Donna Orlena Desideria ‘Radiant Sun’ Narsima in the making of this important commitment." The mouse paused to adjust his glasses and take a deep breath as he continued. He had the habit of speaking loudly at the start of each paragraph that he read which soon fell to a squeak and it would start all over. " The heart of marriage is the taking of another person in that person's entirety, with the good times and the bad times, the sad moments, the happy ones and the taking of that person as a friend and companion for life. It is not something that just happens, a good marriage is created. In a good marriage, the little things are the big things. Do not take one another for granted. Do things for one another, not with the attitude that it is a duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy and giving. Develop the capacity to forgive and forget. Do not look for perfection in your partner. Create an atmosphere in which each of you can grow. The essence of marriage is love and love is one of the highest experiences that we as beings can share. Love adds meaning to our lives. One of the greatest things we can do is to love another being as a husband and wife love each other.Marriage symbolizes the sharing of two lives. Yet this closeness will not diminish the character or being of either individual partner. As your marriage continues to grow, your understanding of each other will continue to expand.Time and togetherness will gain for each of you a deep knowledge of each other. Today's marriage ceremony signifies the beginning of a lifetime of wonderful experiences to be shared as a husband and wife. Please face each other and hold hands." The mouse paused to catch his breath as Gathero turned to look at his bride to take her hand. " Please face each other and hold hands now we celebrate the love that Doctor Gathero and Donna Orlena Desideria ‘Radiant Sun’ Narsima have for each other and as friends you give social recognition to their intention to permanently accept the other by reciting the marriage vows." " Gathero, do you take this woman to be your wedded wife? Will you love her, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, and keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?" The doctor would smile and nod. "I do, with all my heart." He wanted to say more, but nothing else could say those words better. The mouse would smile, nod and continue, turning to face Orlena now. " Orlena, do you take this man to be your wedded husband? Will you love him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, and keep yourself only unto him as long as you both shall live?"

Jason kept his eyes pealed as Orlena made her way to her loving fiance. He had developed a rotten feeling that a certain wanted outlaw was going to crash the party. He kept both gloved paws close to his holsters in case anything happend. Refusing to sit he made his way to the very back of the rows and stood there figuring it would be his best view of the event if Colten did decide to crash the event. He hoped his men had retained their posts outside the ranch in case Colten did attempt to enter.

Upon the prompt of the judge, the Spanish bride smiled with eyes ablaze in the vivid green-blue, framed in angelic gold of lashes. Her paws offered a light squeeze to her groom’s own, in concordance with her clear “I do, with all my spirit.”
The mouse offered a blink towards the bride, hesitant for a moment at her improvisation.
Orlena offered a side glance towards the elder, offering a wider smile and then a following wink. Another blink was offered before the mouse jumped back into his reading, clearing his voice and making mumbled amends for falling short.
“Before we continue onward with the union of the couple in the exchanging of vows, Does anyone see a reason why these two should not be wed, let them speak now or forever hold their peace…”
He paused in his reading and glanced up, nose extended high and his line of sight appearing to look down towards the audience, allowing the brief moment for anyone to protest the occasion.

As the silence seemed to echo through air at theevent, an ominous feeling of something horrid about to happen seemed to reverberate in the wind. "Why Howdy everyone." a voice spoke from behind a tree, disembodied like a deity from beyond this world. "Why ain't this a wonderful happenin'." said the voice as a body soon came to accompany it, stepping aside and walking within view, dust following him in the light breeze that was caressing the earth. Drawing his gun he pointed it at Gathero and cocked the hammer with a menacing and insane toothy grin on his face. "Don't nobody move or the Husband-to-be is a dead man." He said as he slowly walked to the side and leaned on the tree, gun still carefully trained on the head of the Groom. "How's your horsey Doc?" he said with a chuckle and he tapped his finger on the trigger, not hard enough to pull but enough to send a bit of a scare through anyone in the area that a shot was to be fired.

Gathero was mentally going "I knew it was too good to be true." Colten's appearance wasn't unexpected but he had hoped for the best really. The coyote would inch his way so that he would be in between Orlena and the outlaw least he wanted to do anything else aside from shooting him. "Howdy Colten, sorry I couldn't send an invite, I didn't know you had a mailbox," he said quietly. "Horsie's doing good." The groom wasn't ready to reach for his pistol yet. In a quick draw, he'd probably lose but now was not the time for such thoughts.
In a soft whisper he'd ask his bride. "Orlena do you have anything to defend yourself with?" She would probably have them but it was best not to take chances.

Jason Grimanced as the outlaw moved forward past him. It seemed that Colten had forgotten their last encounter. How very insulting. The positive thing was that he was still towards the rear of the outlaw. The only question was would it be worth risking. He was one of the fastest gunman in town. The only problem was that Colten was aswell. Would the fact that Colten had his back turned be enough.
He inhaled deeply taking in everything around him. It was not the fear of missing that gripped him but a breath of focus that gripped him. He kept his eyes closed for a few moments calculating his chances until he felt the time was write. In a flash he drew his pistol, cocked the hammer and fired sending a bullet whizzing right towards the hand that was gripping the Schofield. It was obvious Colten had heard the shot. Knowing him he would have to make a manuever to to move or risk losing his hand. This would give Gath plenty of time to draw his own pistol.

Like any other woman would, the bride hid behind the stature of her groom. In the privacy of his shadow she rolled her eyes, silently fuming to the entire stupidity of this ordeal with the lackluster outlaw. His entrance was nothing short of a little boy standing above an anthill and pissing upon it to prove his mastery over the helpless insects.
Orlena didn’t reply to her fiancé, instead she did something unnatural and shocking. She turned her upper body, so back was facing the audience, and proceeded to allow gravity to bring her down to the ground as her ‘fainting’ spell took over her ‘poor overwhelmed soul.’
The bouquet of orchids fell from her hand, revealing the colt single action army revolver to which she instantly fired once her left shoulder struck the earth. Using the space between Gathero’s legs to hold her piece and join in the harmony of the sheriff’s shots. Her aim heralding for the chest. Even in the likely event of him missing the sheriff's shots, she'd hit meat to whichever direction he intended to dive.
No one who disturbed “The Lillith’s serpent’s” wedding would be escaping the wrath of a woman scorned easily.

Ralph...just stood by and did nothing! While the scene took place, he stood among the edgy, possibly panicked audience. When the first gunshots went off, he'd go down with them, hide himself among them, whatever it took to keep himself from being noticed. Considering he wasn't exactly properly dressed for the occassion, it shouldn't have been too hard to spot him if someone was actually looking; but he was counting on the confusion to get rid of that possibilty.
Of course he was going to have his own guns ready - his paws had been tucked under his trenchcoat for just that reason. This was the first time he'd seen the guy everybody was asking about. Ralph had to admit, the man had guts for coming in alone; but he couldn't have been so stupid as to expect to get out the same way with so many people owning a gun. Even Gathero's lady was packing. Like he was going to get involved when even the bride had an iron on her!
[And I apologize about the instructions given in this, but I figured it was a good idea at the moment. XD;]
Meanwhile, Peng kept an ear out from a good, safe distance-specifically, just shy of where the guests' were keeping their mounts. He still wasn't all that great with shooting - shaky paws, and all that. The poor panda still had nightmares about shooting at live crows. That was why he more or less assigned himself to looking after peoples' horses, as well as the ones he "borrowed" a while ago when first employed by Colten. Same with some broken-down stagecoach he had to patch up for this. Even before the shooting began he was nervous; but now he felt himself getting shaky all over again when the action started.
Peng wasn't told much about the event aside from to stand-by with the ride, learn what he could about the townsfolk if anything, and wait. He didn't know exactly what he was waiting for, but this was sort of a good incentive for him to get moving. Nervously, he whistled to the horses and urged them to pull the coach up closer to where the ceremony was being held. If things got too out of control, he'd quicken the pace. So far though, it looked like things were just starting, so there was no need for him to rush in, right?

The old dog dived almost instinctively down, scrambling into the crowd as a childish whimper caused his lips to quiver. The two solid cracks of his knees as he threw himself downward were ignored, surprise and fear ruling over unnecessary emotions. Not at all the reserved gentlemen around what he considered 'gun toting madmen'. "Oh hell" he whined pathetically, a single paw clamped on his hat as if the flimsy fabric had the power to reflect bullets. With his nose against the dirt and his tail rattling like the train tracks Moors seemed to ever uphold his tendency to become a back boneless coward. Where was Tombe when he needed the blasted grave-digger?

Cross-dressing canine had been sleeping the day away without realizing it, had not for the new racket of the wedding coming from up the road the mutt might’ve just slept through the day and into the night. Finding her hat she stood, brushing the dirt from her clothes and, finally, made her way towards the wedding, hands stuffed in her pockets, to find Moors, he’d gotten an invite from the doctor sometime ago so no doubt that’s where she’d find him. Arriving casually upon the scene, he stopped dead, so much for a peaceful ceremony, looked like someone, an outlaw no doubt, had opted to cause trouble, guns were drawn and soon shots rung out. Tombe looked quickly for her boss, the old dog was surely cowering somewhere within the no doubt panicking group, she found him, crawling through the crowd despite his bad knees...
Tombe half-crouched, she drew the plain colt navy revolver from it’s position at her hip, as a precaution, and made her way forward toward the old dog, “What’d I miss?”

(Whoops! This is why I hate Forum RP! I always forget about it. *posts*)
Jazzy yelped when she spotted the man, eyes going straight to the weapon. She remembered him from awhile back and boy did he scare her! The little girl would bolt behind Gathero and Orlena and hide there, peeking between them.

[I'm with you Jazzy. xD]
Endymien for the most part of the happenings would be entirely confused. An ear was twitched to the side as he looked over at the disturbance at first only considering that the fellow was quite rude for interupting the ceremony. It would be a long moment before he recognised what was happening and the face of Colten. Once he did, his ears pressed back against his well kept slicked hair. Confused look went cold at once as he watched the man. No weapon was kept on him, but even if he had one there was no way he could use the thing in a way that would be productive.

Tough it was now clean still absent of ammo. But she knew what way to use it reguardless and it was still painful! She only waited for the right range. As the shots rang out, Arm fell to his knees automatically for cover. There was no weapon to reach for. Even if he had it nearby, using it would be trouble for his incognito business. What a woman! He eyed the shooting bride, then made a decision and began scuttling backwards.
Towards the trail, that is. He took cover where he could and waited. Waiting was a beautiful thing - it provided opportunities. That outlaw had to have some other step in his plan beyond walking into the middle of a progression with his weapon drawn.
If he wasn't killed, he'd have to escape. Foiling something like that would be quite trust endearing for a would-to-be-banker.

[posting on the behalf of our beloved outlaw with his permission since he is being overworked to death somewhere]
Due to the many bullets flying around, it seemed like the outlaw made his last stand. One bullet sent the gun flying out of his hand, and one got him square in the head. There would only be silence once the bullets stopped flying and the corpse of the dreaded outlaw lay where he had stood.
The coyote would pause to look at the body with a frown. The judge would poke his scared head out from where he had gone into hiding. "Is he dead?" Gathero would poke the body and nod. "Aye, he's dead Jim." Looking at his soon-to-be-wife, he sighed softly. "Well we can either put off the wedding or carry on, I'll leave the choice to you."
For someone who just had his wedding wrecked, he seemed...incredibly calm. Possibly because he was glad it turned out that way, or maybe... just maybe... he was immune to it. Who knows?
