I made a dream called The Gilded Age: Victorian World and I'd like to put a furc link to Brenton on this world map so interested visitors can check it out. I already have furc links to Le Quartier de Theatre in France and The Hanamachi in Japan, among others--the world map is basically a hub for 19th century roleplaying dreams and will also eventually host my own guild, Imperiae Vaporum, as well. I posted here because I wasn't sure where else I should put this, and I wanted to get the Rah's permission before linking to this dream from mine. I can assure you I have no alterior motives--I just want to help people interested in 19th century western roleplay to find your dream. Also, I wanted to ask roughly where the town of Brenton is located in America, so I can put a link to it in the west as well as in the US capital. For more information about the Victorian World dream and Imperiae Vaporum, check out thegildedage.freehostia.com

Whitey you honor me! I would be most pleased and delighted to have a link from your dream to mine! It was all of you guys and your world-map that origionally inspired me years ago to make Brenton!
By all means link us up my friend!
But I have one question, where is your map located, I used to go there all the time but I cant find it anymore.

The dream is by the puzzle square in Hawthorn, but I don't keep uploaded very often. Actually, if you or anybody else here wants to help me keep the map uploaded, I'd be happy to share it with you guys since I'm not online very often.
Victorian London is inching its way toward completion as I work at my own glacial pace, so you can expect to see it around a fair bit more often in the summer...

Thanks! That means a lot, I could use some help. The exteriors are almost done and I want to do all the basic stuff myself because I'm using a slightly different scale than most to match the smaller human avatars and make the big buildings fit into the cramped Furcadia screen. I'll send you the Victorian World dream and give you the password for The Gilded Age. You're welcome to do whatever you want with the world dream for your own purposes if you so desire. I'll think about putting together a wish list of patch items. Off the top of my head, I could use: A drivable stage coach with horses Fog a bit darker and more dissipated than the default mist items Muddy brown river tiles (optional stink lines for the Thames, etc.) Opera interior items (Could probably make/find these myself) Factory interior items (steel foundries, textile machinery, etc.) Railroad tracks (I see you have those already) Train interiors (passenger cars, dining cars, beds, etc.) Museum items (Egyptian stuff, wildly inaccurate dinosaurs, etc.) NPCs that can pass for humans or furres (possibly animated) African/Asian tribal villages in savannah and jungle/river settings. I'll start a new thread somewhere else and add more as I think of them. Actually, I just had an idea for an interactive mini-game for the train interiors: what better way for players to have fun with guns than shooting Buffalo from a moving train! And, um... optionally, native American characters can turn away and quietly shed a poetic tear over the extinction of a way of life

Thanks Jasper! I emailed the Victorian World dream and The Gilded Age .ini to the address in your profile, you're welcome to share that with other guild officers as you see fit.
I'll send you my Victorian London patchwork soon, as well as avatars, so you know what I'm talking about with regard to the height of buildings, etc., and can use the avatars as a base for NPCs if you want.
Oh, and if there's anything you need help with for Brenton in the way of patchwork or phoenixspeak, let me know and I'll see what I can do!
